Meet Buddy, a polar bear beaded art doll. He measures approximately 6" tall and 2 3/4" at his widest.
Buddy's head, neck, paws & legs were made using polymer clay with no molds. His eyes & nose are vintage metal faceted beads. I textured each limb piece to resemble fur. Polar bears are excellent & powerful swimmers as evidenced by his broad, thick paws. The shorter back legs serve mostly as rudders.
His body is beaded with many shapes of glass crystal beads. Look closely and you will see the fish he devoured for lunch! Of course, each of my creatures has a heart, too!
Buddy can be hung as a decoration or pinned onto a coat or pillow. My favorite way to display my art dolls is to hang them in a sunny window & watch them sparkle!
